The only purely FLOSS playback for dailymotion is through pre-recorded HLS, youtube also offers higher quality though this format.

Looks like this requires a CORS proxy. Proxying video content would eat up an assload of bandiwth and potentially be a liability. Probably gonna skip this one in favor of an official implementation down the road.
